In mid-October 2013 NANORA project partners will hold their third coordinating conference to advance the Alliance’s key tools for intensifying interregional cooperation in support to nanotechnology players. The meeting will be held near Lille upon invitation by Lionel Buchaillot, Director of the IEMN (Institut d’ Electronique, de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologie) based in nearby Villeneuve d’Ascq and project partner of NANORA. The project partners will take the opportunity to get to know the excellent IEMN lab facilities in a guided tour before moving on to discussing NANORA actions. High up on the agenda are advances in constructing the preliminary version of the planned “Transnational Interactive Nanotechnology Competence Atlas – TINCA” and in preparations for interlinking regional support schemes to nanotechnology SMEs and research institutions. The project partners will also discuss the terms of reference for a larger Alliance able to accommodate new associates and refine their communications measures. Representatives of the INTERREG IVB JTS (Joint Technical Secretariat) based in Lille are also invited to look in on the conference to get a good impression of project progress and get to know project partners – and vice versa.
